Behind the scenes of a commercial shoot

A lot goes in production of a photograph that we see on billboards or used in commercial advertising elsewhere. Sometimes as much as 30-40 people gather together and work day and night for weeks to produce those images that we see. Taking photos is a very small part in this production process.

London based Commercial Advertising photographer John Paul Mountford was kind enough to share with us the following sets of images in which we see storyboard sketches that led to the final image. I am sure that you will also, just as I have, from these images get an idea of the complexity of the whole operation and develop a deeper appreciation of the work these commercial artists do. The question is when they are doing all of this do they have time to argue about which camera is better? Or why is Nikon better than Canon or other way around? Read the rest of the artcile here.
